Global sportswear giant PUMA has unveiled its latest national team jerseys for 11 countries in a vibrant street-level event held in New York City, reinforcing its growing influence in international football ahead of this summer’s major competition.
The launch, staged at Domino Square on March 19, departed from traditional stadium reveals, instead embracing a community-first concept that blended football, music, food, and culture. Local players were the first to wear the new kits during a 4v4 tournament, bringing the designs to life on the streets before their global release.
The collection spans four continents, featuring teams from Portugal, Morocco, Ghana, Paraguay, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Czech Republic, Switzerland, New Zealand, Austria, and Egypt.
The unveiling highlights PUMA’s strong presence in African football, with five major national teams—Ghana, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, and Egypt—making it the most prominent kit supplier for African federations in the upcoming tournament.
Football icons including Ricardo Quaresma, Asamoah Gyan, and El Hadji Diouf attended the event, bridging generations of the sport. The cultural celebration was further amplified by a live performance from Ghanaian music star Black Sherif, alongside appearances from digital creator Fanum and the Daily Paper collective.
According to PUMA executives, the initiative was designed to connect directly with fans by bringing football culture into everyday community spaces. The event featured custom-designed trucks representing each nation, showcasing local identity through art, cuisine, and music.
With nearly a quarter of participating nations in this summer’s tournament set to wear PUMA kits, the brand continues to strengthen its global footprint. The newly unveiled jerseys incorporate advanced ULTRAWEAVE technology and dryCELL fabric for performance, while replica versions are produced using the company’s RE:FIBRE sustainability initiative.
The full 2026 national team kit collection is scheduled for global release on March 24.
