The Tamale Circuit Court presided over by His Worship Mr. William Twumasi Appiah has convicted a 28-year-old spiritualist, Adam Arafat, to seven years imprisonment with hard labor for the defilement of an 11-year-old girl in Tamale. In January 2020, Arafat through a TV and Radio advert, compelled the victim’s mother to travel from Bawku to Tamale to seek spiritual assistance from him. During the consultation, the victim’s mother was asked to purchase items to aid in the spiritual process. Firefighters supported by firefighting aircraft work to put out a large forest fire, as smoke is visible from much of the city of Jerusalem. The fire threatened the villages of Beit Meir, Shoeva and Ramat Raziel, west of Jerusalem, police said in a statement. A massive wildfire outside of Jerusalem on Sunday sent a thick cloud of smoke over the city as authorities struggled to contain the blaze. A small contingent of female naval soldiers in the Rwanda Defense Force have been fighting alongside their male counterparts to push back against rebels allied with the Islamic State group in northern Mozambique. The rebels were occupying the strategic town of Mocimboa da Praia in Cabo Delgado province until a 1,000-strong Rwandan force was deployed there. The establishment of the Development Bank Ghana (DBG) will see micro, small and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) being able to access cheap but long-term loans with tenors of 5 years, 7 years, or even 15 years to finance their businesses.
