YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua have successfully made weight ahead of their highly anticipated heavyweight clash scheduled for 19 December in Miami.
At Thursday’s official weigh-in, Joshua tipped the scales at 243 pounds, while Paul came in lighter at 216 pounds, setting the stage for an intriguing physical matchup between the two fighters.
The eight-round contest, fought over three-minute rounds, will take place at the Kaseya Center and will be streamed live on Netflix, marking another major crossover event blending mainstream entertainment with elite-level boxing.
For Paul, 28, the fight represents the sternest test of his professional boxing career to date. He enters the bout with a 12-1 record, including seven knockouts, and is coming off a unanimous decision victory over former middleweight world champion Julio César Chávez Jr. in June.
Joshua, 36, brings vast experience and pedigree into the ring. A two-time unified WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight world champion and Olympic gold medalist, the British boxer holds a professional record of 28 wins and four losses, with 25 knockouts. However, he has not competed since September 2024, when he suffered a defeat to Daniel Dubois in an IBF title bout.
The fight has generated significant global attention, with fans and analysts debating whether Paul’s rapid rise and momentum can withstand the power, skill and experience of a seasoned heavyweight champion.
As both fighters completed the weigh-in without incident, anticipation continues to build ahead of what promises to be one of the most watched boxing events of the year.
