Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz joined the military high command inside the Air Force’s command bunker as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) executed a large-scale strike on Houthi positions in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a.
According to military sources, the operation involved dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets, which dropped heavy munitions on pre-selected targets. The IDF reported that the strike resulted in the elimination of dozens of Houthi fighters and the destruction of multiple UAV warehouses believed to have been used for drone operations.
Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir oversaw the attack alongside Katz, underscoring the high-level coordination behind the mission.
The strike comes amid heightened regional tensions, with Israeli officials vowing to dismantle militant capabilities threatening the country. The IDF has not disclosed whether additional operations are planned in Yemen.
