The Mossad has revealed that Sardar Amar, a senior officer of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) under commander Esmail Qaani, led an international terror network targeting Israeli and Jewish communities in Australia, Greece, and Germany during 2024–25.
Israeli intelligence reports indicate that the unit employed “fingerprint-free” tactics, recruited foreign operatives, operated through covert cells, and relied heavily on encrypted communications to carry out its missions.
The disclosure highlights Iran’s extensive involvement in anti-Israeli plots worldwide and demonstrates the growing reach of its terror operations since the October 7 attacks. Joint efforts between Mossad and allied intelligence agencies reportedly thwarted dozens of planned attacks, preventing potential casualties across multiple countries.
Israeli officials warn that the network’s sophistication underscores the ongoing threat posed by state-backed terrorism and the need for continued international vigilance.
