Amineva Global, a Ghanaian innovation company focused on developing technology solutions for Africa’s critical challenges, has participated in the Peachscore Accelerator pitch competition, presenting its flagship agricultural technology initiative, AgroClimate, to a panel of investors, mentors, and startup ecosystem stakeholders.
Representing the company was founder Ohene Anochie Phoxman, who highlighted the growing challenges facing African farmers, including climate uncertainty, post-harvest losses, limited market access, and weak coordination across agricultural value chains.
During the competition, AgroClimate was positioned as a solution designed to address what the company describes as an agricultural intelligence and coordination gap across Africa’s food systems. The platform combines climate intelligence, agricultural data, supply coordination, and market connectivity tools to help farmers, agribusinesses, and food buyers make more informed decisions.
The participation forms part of Amineva Global’s broader efforts to attract strategic partnerships, mentorship, and investment opportunities aimed at accelerating the development and deployment of AgroClimate across the continent.
Speaking after the event, Phoxman said the competition provided valuable insights into how startups can better communicate the problems they are solving rather than focusing solely on technology products.
One of the key lessons was the importance of clearly defining the problem and the people being served before discussing the solution. Investors want to understand the challenge first and why it matters, he said.
The Peachscore Accelerator programme brings together startups from different sectors and regions, providing founders with opportunities to refine their business models, strengthen their investment readiness, and connect with potential investors.
For Amineva Global, the experience offered an opportunity to further refine its messaging around AgroClimate and strengthen its position within Africa’s growing innovation ecosystem.
The company believes improved access to climate intelligence, market information, and supply chain coordination can play a significant role in reducing agricultural losses, increasing farmer incomes, and enhancing food security across Africa.
Amineva Global is currently advancing the development of AgroClimate as part of its mission to build practical, scalable technologies that address real-world challenges across the continent.
