Major General Majid Khademi, head of intelligence for Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has been reported killed in a targeted US‑Israeli airstrike, according to statements from both Iranian state media and Israeli officials.
Iranian outlets cited the Guard’s announcement that Khademi was “martyred” in the attack, which struck early Monday in the Iran capital region. The Guard did not disclose the exact location but described the incident as a “criminal terrorist attack by the American‑Zionist enemy.”
Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz took responsibility for the operation, saying that Iran’s leaders “live with a sense of being targeted” and that Israel will “continue to hunt them down one by one.”
