Although Trump\u00a0formally nominated Wolf for the job\u00a0in summer, Wolf has yet to get a full vote in the Senate, keeping his role as\u00a0&#8220;acting.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"endmarkEnabled\">He also ordered DHS to post a public notice by Monday prominently on its website to accept first-time applications, renewal requests and advance parole requests based on Obama-era rules and to ensure that work permits are valid for two years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"endmarkEnabled\">This is the latest blow to the Trump\u2019s administration\u2019s efforts to halt the program. The\u00a0U.S. Supreme Court ruled\u00a0in June that the Trump administration wrongly tried to shut down the program. The president\u2019s administration then began rejecting new applicants to the program this summer about a month after the High Court blocked the White House from ending the program completely.<\/p>\n<p class=\"endmarkEnabled\">In its ruling, the high court found that his administration was \u201carbitrary and capricious\u201d in its attempt to end the Obama-era program. Existing applicants also must reapply every year, but remain in the program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"endmarkEnabled\">The National Immigration Law Center called the ruling a &#8220;major victory&#8221; in a tweet on Friday.<\/p>\n<section class=\"embedWidget undefined medium___2BOWB\">\n<div class=\"usePresentation___1DKgp\">\n<div class=\"twitter-tweet twitter-tweet-rendered\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p class=\"endmarkEnabled\">&#8220;This is a major victory for immigrant youth, led by immigrant youth.
