Reacting to news of his death, Madam Cudjoe said she was deeply devastated, noting that she had anticipated working closely with the late legislator in the year ahead as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) advanced its parliamentary agenda. She described the loss as a painful blow to both Parliament and the party, extending her condolences to Mr Mahama\u2019s family and the wider NDC fraternity.<\/p>\n
Naser Toure Mahama passed away on January 4, 2026. He was a prominent member of the NDC and a long-serving legislator who first entered Parliament in 2013 after winning the Ayawaso East seat in the 2012 general elections.<\/p>\n
Born on March 17, 1965, in Nima, Accra, Mr Mahama was widely respected for his calm demeanor and commitment to public service. During his time in Parliament, he served as Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee and was also a member of the Roads and Transport Committee, the House Committee, and the Private Members\u2019 Bills and Motions Committee.<\/p>\n
