This exception is contingent upon ensuring that it does not negatively impact the internal market or supply to protected customers in connected states.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2458\" data-end=\"2472\">Next Steps<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2474\" data-end=\"2818\">Negotiations between the Council and European Parliament are expected to begin in <strong data-start=\"2556\" data-end=\"2563\">May<\/strong>, following the Parliament\u2019s adoption of its negotiating mandate.
