The European Union has approved a third disbursement of nearly \u20ac3.5 billion in grants and loans to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility, bringing the total funds provided to \u20ac20 billion since the program’s launch last year. The funding aims to support Ukraine\u2019s economic stability, reconstruction, and modernization as the country continues to recover from the ongoing war.<\/p>\n

The latest payment was approved after Ukraine successfully met 13 reform benchmarks, including expanding renewable energy use, strengthening energy regulation, simplifying border procedures, and implementing strategies for agricultural development, including mine removal from farmlands.<\/p>\n

The Ukraine Facility, established in March 2024, is a \u20ac50 billion initiative designed to provide long-term financial assistance to Ukraine between 2024 and 2027. With up to \u20ac32 billion earmarked for reform-based investments, payments are released only when Ukraine meets pre-agreed conditions.<\/p>\n

The EU remains committed to Ukraine\u2019s recovery and its path toward EU membership, emphasizing that continued reforms and modernization efforts will be essential for future funding.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
